It’s about time we featured a woman TOtechninja! Which reminds me. Why do so few women apply to our tech jobs? Heather Payne might ask the same question. She founded an initiative right here in Toronto called Ladies Learning Code.

Kunal Gupta is a mobile digital media maverick and champion of young entrepreneurs. While he was a still a student at University of Waterloo Kunal co-founded Polar Mobile, a mobile app development company for digital media publishers like GQ, Glamour, CBC Sports. He also founded the Impact Entrepreneurship group to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among high school and university students.

Edward Yao co-founded TeamBuy, a Toronto-based startup that went from multiple offers on Dragon’s Den to becoming one of the top daily deal sites with 12 Million dollars in investments.

Ahmad Nassri is a developer ninja and open source evangelist. He’s been a lead developer at Kobo, RIM, Viigo and Right Sleeve. He also started two online business that are based in Toronto: Code in Chaos – a web and mobile application development company, and Mira Vitae – a collaborative story-telling app. He’s also one of most socially networked people in Toronto.
